CDC isn't visiting the Blues Live
The Centers for Disease Control is not at the Scottrade Center, despite a rumor going around on Twitter and other social media.
The rumor appears to have started with Josh Rimer, who tweeted this morning:
Several Blues players have been sick with a bacterial infection recently. Read more about that here.
The rumor is not (repeat: NOT) true. Blues beat writer Jeremy Rutherford sorts it out:
The Blues' director of broadcasting also addressed the rumor:
Scary stuff, Center for disease control in St. Louis at Scottrade Center and Blues offices right now trying to figure out what's going on.

The reason for disease control in ST Louis is because of players getting bacterial infections last couple weeks.

Apologies for any small part I had in perpetuating the CDC report from Rimer. Retweeting requires responsibility too.

The #stlblues have a dozen or so child cancer patients visiting the rink today to trick or treat. The plan was for them to tour lockerroom.

Doctors squashed that idea and instead the children are going through the offices and arena bowl. Hitch made joke that CDC should be here.

tweet from @JoshRimerHockey about CDC at Scottrade Center is 100% inaccurate. Ken Hitchcock made a joke on a radio show & some didn't get it

@JoshRimerHockey I completely understand. Unfortunate series of circumstance but just wanted to get it out it was not true.
