I will check with the contractor on that project.
Our traffic engineers will investigate the timing on Morgan Ford in the areas described.
We typically have the same mix for the entire project. I am not aware of any changes on the I-270 project. What you are probably hearing is the layer of asphalt (about an inch and a half) on top of milled concrete. We have a couple of layers of asphalt on the rest of the job. I will pass your concerns about the Clayton Bridge over I-270 to our maintenance team to check into. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
I will check with the Forestry Division about this
Jay -- We are not directly involved an any investigations, but we will review any reports that come from that investigation to see if there are any issues that we need to resolve. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
The Board of Public Service (BPS) is in the design process for the repair of that bridge. Anticipated construction period will be spring of 2019.
I'll have our signals group investigate. David Wrone, St. Louis County
Are you seeing this during morning or evening rush period? Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
We are required, by nation-wide standards, to time any pedestrian signal for the average pedestrian speed, not for cyclists or runners. And, there would be no way to enforce someone using the "incorrect" button or crossing at the incorrect time. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Thanks -- I'll pass it along to our traffic team. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Our traffic engineer for this area will take a look at it and see if they can make some tweaks. They have been working on some timing along Gravois, so they can see if they can add some extra time to River Des Peres. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
We have about 1,600 miles of state-maintained roadway in the greater St. Louis area -- if you count each lane separately, that number is closer to 7,000 miles of roadway Most of the work we are doing is preventative maintenance to keep the roadways safe and operational. Work also has to be scheduled around the contractor's equipment and crew availability. We have to balance the time projects take with the potential impact to the traveling public. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Prior to considering an all-way stop, I will first have the sight distance to the west investigated. Perhaps then the existing two-way stop can function better.
We have a project currently scheduled to be awarded in late 2019 for repairs between I-270 and the river. Until then, we will continue to patch potholes as we see them and/or they are reported to us at 275-1500. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
You are welcome. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
If the signal is dark, treat it like a four-way stop. If it is flashing, treat it like a four way stop. If it doesn't cycle (it's stuck ion red) , there is no law that allows you, as a driver to "run" the light legally unless you are otherwise directed by a traffic control/law enforcement officer. Cyclists were allowed to proceed after waiting because they often weren't able to trigger the detection at intersections. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
