This is still a good amount of work to be completed on that project. They will be starting work again in the spring, and it should be completed later in the fall. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
We do mix reflective glass beads into the paint when we do restriping work. On many state roadways, we also include reflective markers that are placed into the pavement (to avoid getting removed during snowplowing operations.) We do continue to review and look at the latest federally approved materials to see what may work for Missouri's climate conditions. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Our consultant is still working through a very complex analysis process. We'll be able to determine more information when that report is complete. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Any decisions on additional funding for the department must be determined by state legislators. Please feel free to share your suggestion with your local senator and representative. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
It is wider -- this was all temporary striping done in December to get the bridge open. Some of it was done over the old lane lanes to avoid the temporary striping coming off and creating confusion. In the spring, when we work on the bridge, we will remove and replace all the striping in the appropriate widths. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Our Operations group will investigate. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. David Wrone, St. Louis County
I am not sure what you are asking here. It looks like the left turn signal on westbound has a signal arrow for southbound. Is the signal burned out, or are you asking for a flashing yellow arrow on the left turn signal? If asking for a flashing yellow, we don't put flashing yellow left turn signals on roadways where you have to cross more than two lanes (here you have two through lanes and a right turn lane you would have to cross). Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
We have passed this along to our traffic team to evaluate. We'll look at the timing and see if we can make some adjustments to how the signal operates (its phases) We are controlling both sides of the interchange from a single controller, which makes operating a flashing yellow arrow there somewhat problematic. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Thanks -- I have passed it along to our signal team to check the signal out. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
During the recent resurfacing, the overlay for the left lane was a little thinner than that on the additional lanes; except for the sound, it meets the required standards for the roadway. At this time, we have no plans to remove and/or replace it. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Our crews will check it out - thanks!
Our traffic engineers will review the timing on this section of Grand - thanks!
