We are checking into this now.
There were issues with these signals before and were corrected (and field verified) - we will check given your observations.
They were part of the repairs made during the on-going preventative maintenance on the bridge. We are looking to see if we can get those areas ground a little smoother. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
The detection was replaced at Kingshighway & Sutherland already - is it operating that way now? We can look at Hampton & Holly Hills.
We will discuss with PD their game day operations to see how this is currently handled & if any modifications are warranted.
We have been watching Truman/18th signals but during the evening the southbound direction is by far the most heavy and receives preference in terms of signal priority (fewer number of stops, less travel time) over competing movements (northbound as well as side streets).
I have passed this along to our crews. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Soha -- Hampton under I-44 is MoDOT's responsibility. Typically, during winter, we place temporary patches on potholes -- our primary goal is to get the pothole patched and ensure that traffic continues flowing. Because temperatures vary so widely in winter (like 60 degrees on day and 35 the next), we may see several of those patches pop out again during the course of the season. We will usually come back after temperatures have moderated and place a more permanent patch. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
I have asked our signal team to check the signals here. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communciations
A St. Louis County contractor will be resurfacing Big Bend this spring and summer from Laclede Station Road to Manchester Road. It's a $1.8 million project. David Wrone, St. Louis County
If it is rough, I would expect that to be on the list for a more permanent repair later this year. By the way, I only responded to the first part of the question, because the portion of roadway was MoDOT's responsibility. Often multiple roadway questions can cross jurisdictions. It's often simpler (and makes it easier to understand) if you can put on topic in a question at a time. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
You are welcome. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
We presently have no resurfacing plans for Wachtel. This road currently is rated a '5' out of 10 ('1' being the poorest possible condition). Unfortunately, we have an abundance of roads and streets in worse condition than Wachtel. David Wrone, St. Louis County
Our signal staff will check into this location - thanks
We will coordinate efforts with MoDOT (and their contractor if still applicable) to evaluate the quality of signal progression during the morning on Grand in this area.
I would recommend contacting your local alderperson as they are the intimately connected to the neighborhoods and serve as a conduit between the residents and local government. For this and for many other areas of concern, they are the elected voice of the people and know well how to represent their needs.
