I've asked our signal team to take a look at this signal to make sure everything is working correctly. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
It is a permanent closure. We had on average about 5-10 cars there daily, plus people chose to use the lot to dump trash, brush and house remodeling debris. People who used the lot can park at I-44 and 141 or use Allenton and I-44. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
We still have some restriping to do this spring as part of the PSB project -- unfortunately, we have been fighting temperatures, wet pavement and inclement weather since early November this year. We'll get those fixed when we can get some good weather to put down the permanent striping. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
I encountered those just today, and will certainly put in a service request with our Division of Operations. David Wrone, St. Louis County
We have a resurfacing project for Route 141 between Route 30 and I-64 later this year. Several of the bridges along the route also get some preventative maintenance work done. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
I will check with our signal crews on that status of the location - thanks
You are very welcome! Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Nothing has changed in terms of traffic signal timing. Haven't had any complaints related to his yet, but we will verify there aren't equipment malfunctions occurring with vehicle detection - which can throw coordination off.
We will make sure those are on our list. With the winter season and the snow/ice events we have had, we've got our fair share of potholes as a result. This anticipated though and our crews are mobilized for repairs, but the tough part is getting out there when conditions are suitable for patching - when not raining or ice/snow on the street. Our crews are working hard and we fully expect to have these potholes fixed. Thanks for your patience!
Sometimes large trucks jump the curb when turning and knock the traffic signal head - which (like a side mirror on a vehicle) turns it. Our signal crew will check it out and turn it back. thanks for the heads up.
Which direction? I can pass it along to our maintenance team. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Design solicitation has begun for the Compton Bridge. Federal construction funds will be applied for in 2021, with construction beginning estimated to begin in 2023 with a 2 year duration. The best we can do is continue to monitor this bridge for pothole patching needs until the design & construction process kicks in. We are working hard to patch potholes everywhere in the City during these winter months, including Compton. Thank you for your patience!
We have a resurfacing project set for that section of Route 370 this year. If you have specific locations for potholes, please let us know and we'll get them patched. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
I have passed both of these along to our maintenance team for patching. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
We will see what we can do about the parking situation there. As you said, enforcement can only go so far. While we use bollards or planters for reasons such as this, we also try to be pragmatic on where/when we do this. Putting objects in the roadway, even in a parking lane, is by far not an ideal situation. We'll take a look though to see if something is warranted.
Thanks for the additional information. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
We are trying to hold this together as best we can for the next couple of years --we regularly patch that area.-- we have a resurfacing project on Manchester set for next year that should help improve that section of roadway. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Thanks -- I've shared that information with our maintenance team. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
