Good morning; my road crew chat room participation today will be somewhat truncated. I will try to answer as many questions as I can before I head out. If I don't get to yours before the end of today's chat, I will try to grab them after the chat room and share responses next week. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
There was a drainage pipe under the interstate that started leaking and washing away the earth under the shoulder and left lane. We closed the lane to excavate down to the drainage pipe, fix it and put the roadway back. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
It depends upon the roadway. Anything aesthetic (median plantings, fancier signs or signals) are typically maintained by the municipality. We maintain most of the traffic signals (however, we don't on certain high-level county arterials, like where Hanley crosses Manchester) The turn lanes onto state maintained roads are typically maintained by the same organization that maintains the through lanes. Most of the pavement maintenance is just on either side of the intersection. If you have specific areas, in mind, please let me know. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communciations
I'll ask our maintenance team to look into it and make sure they are aware of the issue. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communciations
That should be the yield sign for the traffic turning right from Hanley-Graham to yield to the traffic going through. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
This may be a result of a damaged loop detector. I'll forward your report to our signals group for investigation. David Wrone, St. Louis County
