The ramp closed August 10 and should reopen by mid-September, when they are finished rebuilding it. I can pass your concern on to the construction team, but it would be helpful to know what time you are seeing the issue, as they often have different timing patterns based on traffic levels. Safety. With the shifted traffic, there simply is too little space to allow someone to safely merge from the ramp onto the existing interstate traffic. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Last week, Road Crew chat participants submitted several questions that I was unable to answer before the session's conclusion. One motorist asked about water ponding on westbound Big Bend, just west of Sulphur Spring Road. ANSWER: A water main is leaking beneath this section of the road. Missouri American Water is aware of the problem, and will repair it as soon as possible. Another chatter asked if we have any plans to build sidewalks on Rock Hill Road. ANSWER: We currently have no plans to build sidewalks on this road. And, lastly, a motorist asked if we have improvement plans on tap for Hanley, near Delmar. ANSWER: No improvements currently are scheduled for this section of Hanley. David Wrone, St. Louis County's Department of Transportation
We have no plans to repave this section of Hanley. In 2015, we resurfaced Hanley from just north of I-64/40 north to Pershing. David Wrone, St. Louis County's Department of Transportation
For the short term, crews should be wrapped up working on I-170 from I-270 to Frost this week. However, drivers can expect a lot of work in that general area, as crews continue working on the I-270 North project. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
I've passed this along to our signal team to look at these. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Crews have been currently working on replacing signs along I-44. We have a project for the signs along I-270 that should be underway within the next year. As far as Manchester goes, the major project is still underway; although we do have work on Manchester in that area within the next year. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communication
