I was wondering about a couple potholes/problems on I-44. One is toward the bottom of Antire Hill (middle lane) going westbound, and the other is about half a mile before 141 (middle lane) going eastbound. These have been there for weeks, and frankly will rattle the fillings out of your head if you're going the speed limit.

Going south on the Jefferson bridge over the railroad tracks after I-64, there is a sign at the beginning of the bridge stating that the right lane must turn right. At that location, this is not correct and causes motorists to merge into the left lane when they don't have to. The same sign is at the south end of the bridge close to Chouteau where it is correct and the street is three lanes. The first one should be removed.

Who is responsible for the fencing on both sides of the grass embankment on either side of I44 through Shaw (DeTonty and Lafayette)? They mow the hills every now and then, but never get close to the fencing so there's tons of weeds and brush. And the fences look like they haven't been repaired for years. Lots of missing top poles, rusted fence, and missing sections. If you can't repair it, can you at least remove it so it's not an eye sore?

That is most likely MoDOT -- however, if you have a more specific location, I can share it with our maintenance team to check into. As a note, the fence is there for safety to prevent someone intentionally (or unintentionally crossing onto the interstate). At this time, we have no plans for any full fence replacements along I-44. Interstate 70 West bound. I guess you could call it the seams between lanes and the on and off ramps. From Salisbury to Kingshighway. So many areas of holes of three feet or longer. Deep too. I ride a motorcycle and these are getting more tricky to avoid when changing lanes. The worst is getting on the Interstate from Adelaide. Can some patching be done?

You would probably want to check with the organization that maintains the roadway, but typically, as long as you don't do any damage to the sidewalk or the roadway, cleaning the sidewalk to help beautify your neighborhood should be acceptable. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Commununications
