I have asked our lighting team to go and check on those lights and make sure that everything is working correctly. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
The road on the north side of I-70 (Lambert International Boulevard) are maintained by the airport. You would have to share pothole concerns on that roadway with them. Natural Bridge Road (which is on the south side of I-70 near the airport) is maintained by MoDOT -- if you have specific locations where you see potholes on Natural Bridge, I will be more than happy to pass them along to our maintenance team. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
We have some work planned on some of the bridges along I-55 in several years, but no plans to make any adjustments at the ramp. As I understand, the grassy area between the ramp and Idaho is intended as space for individuals to safely recover control of their vehicle if they happen to go off the roadway at the ramp. Placing barriers there might increase damage to any vehicles that might leave the roadway. I will ask our maintenance team to pick up any debris from the crash at that ramp Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
I've asked our maintenance team to take a look at this. As a reminder, you don't have to wait for chat room to report potholes. We have a live customer service representative available 24/7 at 314-275-1500 or 1-888-275-6636 (1-888-ASK-MODOT). Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Vehicle detection upgrade was completed - you're welcome!
We'll check out the area you cited - thanks
We are currently designing a project by which Bayless will be resurfaced from Union to Lemay Ferry Road. Our tentative schedule for that job - which will also include the replacement of the bridge on Bayless between I-55 and Lemay Ferry Road - is 2022. David Wrone, St. Louis County Department of Transportation
We continue to maintain the roadways and work on construction projects in the area. However, due to the Missouri constitution, we must have the funds in hand before we award any projects. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Our Operations staffing has been temporarily reduced by covid virus concerns. Older personnel, as well as those personnel with pre-existing health issues that put them at greater risk, are presently not on duty. However, we have crews working in each of our five Operations districts. Staffing levels, though, currently aren't sufficiently robust for an en masse offensive against less-than-optimal pavement. And, like MoDOT, we must follow strict guidelines before awarding contract road projects (i.e., improvement projects performed by private companies). David Wrone, St. Louis County
MoDOT maintenance forces are considered essential, and so they continue to work on the roadway. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
I've asked our signal team to take a look at it and see if everything is working correctly. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Yes, that one was addressed. Let me know if you see any further issues. Thanks
We'll reevaluate that location for lifting no right on reds. We've recently installed a Lead Pedestrian Interval there where you may notice that the pedestrians are given a several second head start on their walk indication before the adjacent green comes on for vehicles. This allows the peds to get moving and to make them more visible to motorists who are waiting. In checking this, we'll verify if acceptable sight lines are available at the approaches of the intersection as well.
I have reached out to our team that oversees this area, but haven't heard back from them yet. I'll share what I get from them next week. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
I have shared that with our maintenance team to take a look it. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
I think that's it, we'll host again next week. Thanks for joining, everybody! STAY HEALTHY
