The left shoulders of both directions of I-70 under the Spencer Rd overpass seem to be buckling and sinking. This appears to be a long-term issue as the sinking is visible since at least 2012 on Google Maps' Street View, however I am worried that there may be an issue underneath the roadway and bridge pillars. Has this been looked into before? -
We constantly evaluate the bridges on our system -- most of the time, we do an in-depth inspection of them at least ever two years, and more frequently if there are issues that we need to keep an eye on. If there is an issue where a bridge is unsafe, we will close it (or at least close lanes on the bridge) until we are able to address it and make it safe. As time and priorities permit, our crews continue to work on picking up trash the roads -- right now, potholes are a large priority -- to ensure the roadways remain safe. As weather and the pandemic allow, we also anticipate our Adopt A Highway and Sponsor a Highway crews to assist with cleanup. Drivers can help by keeping trash in their vehicle and making sure that loads they are taking to the landfills (or carrying in the back of their vehicles) are fully secured. We have a pavement repair project on Route 370 between I-270 and the Missouri River scheduled for later this year. We had to complete work on the eastbound Blanchette Bridge before we could restrict traffic in this area to make those repairs. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications

The left hand turn signals for turning off Hanley on to I-64 (both from the north and south) can often cause traffice to back-up even though there is little traffic heading straight through on Hanley during most of the green light cycle. I see this throughout the day. It seems that having longer green arrow cycles (at the beginning of the green for south bound, and the end of the green for northbound) would help move everyone through each cycle. At the evening rush, Hanley southbound used to back-up with traffic heading out of Clayton, but that rarely happens now.
