We constantly evaluate the bridges on our system -- most of the time, we do an in-depth inspection of them at least ever two years, and more frequently if there are issues that we need to keep an eye on. If there is an issue where a bridge is unsafe, we will close it (or at least close lanes on the bridge) until we are able to address it and make it safe. So, yes, our bridge team has looked into it, and determined that the road/bridge is safe. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
As time and priorities permit, our crews continue to work on picking up trash the roads -- right now, potholes are a large priority -- to ensure the roadways remain safe. As weather and the pandemic allow, we also anticipate our Adopt A Highway and Sponsor a Highway crews to assist with cleanup. Drivers can help by keeping trash in their vehicle and making sure that loads they are taking to the landfills (or carrying in the back of their vehicles) are fully secured. We have a pavement repair project on Route 370 between I-270 and the Missouri River scheduled for later this year. We had to complete work on the eastbound Blanchette Bridge before we could restrict traffic in this area to make those repairs. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
I've passed it along to our traffic engineers to take a look at your observations. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
our traffic engineer will take a look - thanks
