I'll forward your suggestion to our signals group for consideration. Thank you for sharing it. FYI: a number of vehicle sensors have in fact been damaged on this section of Laclede Station Road. They'll be replaced as soon as the water company completes its project. David Wrone, St. Louis County's Department of Transportation

A couple of weeks ago I asked about the traffic signal in front of Gotsch Intermediate school at 8348 Laclede Station Rd. It runs through its cycle 7 days a week. You mentioned that due to road construction that the sensor may be damaged. Now that school is out is it possible to put the signal on yellow flash until the road project is done?

A comment on the road construction on Laclede Station Rd at Watson Rd. The temporary repair is really rough. Our car suspension is paying the price. Most if not all traffic avoid that lane. Can the construction company put a layer of asphalt on top of the temporary repair?
Thanks for all you do! -

Please do something about the intersection at Oleatha and Kingshighway. During the morning rush traffic coming from southbound Kingshighway is forced to run the red light at the end of the cycle to make a left onto eastbound Oleatha. There needs to be a green left arrow even if its only for 5 seconds.

Our crews do regularly clear drains along all our corridors, especially as we approach a possible heavy rainstorm. some of the times, as well, the storms are quite intense and we may get more water than the drains can quickly handle. During those times, our crews are out there making sure that the roadway gets cleared as quickly as possible. I'll share your observation with the team that oversees that stretch of roadway. If you have any additional information you can share (such as was it along the outside of the roadway where perhaps the vegetation was causing issues, or along the median) you can contact us at SLCommunication@modot.mo.gov. During any redevelopment, MoDOT works with the developer to determine the appropriate traffic control needed to get traffic safely in and out of the new development. The developer, not the state, usually covers the cost of those improvements. I'll check with our traffic team and see if I can get some more specifics on this work. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communciations

For the city: the light at Kingshighway/Schollmeyer is apparently set to to accommodate the Gateway Science school traffic, even on non-school days: I was one of several vehicles that sat at it for well over a minute (a green cycle for S; then a prolonged left arrow for the lot for S-bound K) Sunday.
Can it at least be reverted for the summer? Thanks. -
