Good Afternoon. I live in St Louis County, specifically Ladue, and was curious about potholes on neighborhood streets as we have a number of potholes that seem to be getting larger. Who is responsible for these potholes being fixed - and how can those be reported to be fixed? Thank you!

Hi there. David you were going to follow up and it's probably me that missed a chat, and I don't see the history to look it up. Last time, I asked about the Murdoch Ave entrance to I-44 and danger to pedestrians. I said that we have social media groups who are willing to pay for signal prioritization for pedestrians for this long-standing danger. Did you by chance have an opportunity to follow up? Thank you!

Hello, Tony. We're going to be meeting internally in the very near future about this situation, and determine how best to move forward in addressing the problems you shared. Please email me at dwrone@stlouisco.com and I'll make sure you're in the loop. David Wrone, St. Louis County's Department of Transportation

Dan, The transition between bridge and pavement has been reviewed and there are no safety concerns. The bridge is not uneven. With the bridge being on a curve and on a skew the approaches going on and off the bridge are a little rough. Yet, the bridge itself is not rough. There is a thin overlay on the outside two lanes but that is smooth.-Rachel Sudduth, MoDOT Communications.

There are hazardous, long-time, moonscape-like fissures and potholes galore on the access road from southbound highway 109 onto westbound 44 and also on the exit from eastbound 44 onto highway 109. I thought the large amount to stored equipment at that exit might be programmed for repairs there but the equipment has been removed. Are these roads scheduled for repair, and if so when? And what is the specific criteria used to determine if a state road needs repair; and how are the priorities determined? And by whom?

Hi Joe, I will forward your response to our St. Louis County Project Team about repairs in those specific areas. As far as criteria, MoDOT engineers and pavement specialists evaluate all of our roads and bridges on an annual basis and track them with a structured management plan. Our priorities are determined by the amount of funds available on an annual basis and from that determine what projects should be funded based on the existing condition. We also take into account other projects nearby as to not impact potential detour routes.Rachel Sudduth, MoDOT Communications
