I am sure I speak for all the Road Crew when I say thanks for your kudos. Ice storms and cold are a tough fight for our teams, and they spend a lot of time out working to get the roadways in a safe condition as quickly as possible. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Last week, a comment came in late about the sign for Faust Park, and that often people turn into a subdivision rather than the park entrance.. MoDOT currently has a project along Route 340 (Olive) and I talked with the team overseeing that project. As a part of the project, we will be moving the green and white sign about 75 feet closer to the park entrance. The stone sign is on Park property, so you would have to talk to the county parks team about moving that one. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Thanks! I have shared your two observations with our maintenance and signal teams to investigate. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
We are still in the middle of a construction project on Manchester Road between Big Bend and Lindbergh. When the sidewalk work is finished a little later this spring, the entire stretch of Manchester between those two roads gets a new driving surface. I'll ask our construction team to take a look at the intersection to see if any patching needs to take place in the mean time. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
You can always share that information with our customer service team 24/7 at 1-888-ASK-MODOT. They'll pass that along to our maintenance forces who will respond as they can, based on weather and other priorities. They will typically remove the carcass if there is a health or safety issues. Often, they will be moved off the roadway on to right of way where they can decompose naturally -- at this time Department of Conservation has asked us to keep the carcasses where they are, to better manage a wasting disease. The only potential work in that area is some bridge maintenance set for the Route 364 corridor. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
It depends on the type of cable -- Once all the needed materials are in, they are usually addressed as time, weather and other priorities permit. If there is one that has been down for a while, you are always welcome to share it with our customer service team 24/7 at 888-ASK-MODOT. It is possible that the cable was struck and we never were informed about the damage. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
