At this time, there is still a lot of uncertainty about the timing of the colder weather and when that will hit our areas. Based on what we are hearing from the forecasters providing us information, this transition should be during the day tomorrow. Thiis storm is made more challenging by the heavy rains which are predicted to come in today, which would wash away any potential treatments. Wet roadways can still impact traffic, so please be prepared to slow down and pay attention during the morning rush period. As we progress through the day, we expect that roadway conditions will worsen -- so, those people who can stay home to give our crews more space to respond tomorrow will be helpful. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications.
I heard from out raffic team, and we are waiting on parts to get in to repair this. We understand the frustrations, and appreciate your patience. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications

This is a response to David, re: the coming storm: Our most-recent forecast calls for an initial round of rain tonight/tomorrow, with the storm transitioning to snow some time tomorrow afternoon. As Andrew observed, this renders pre-storm salting an exercise in futility, as the rain would wash the salt from the roadway. We'll closely monitor the precipitation, and begin spreading salt as soon as possible. David Wrone, St. Louis County's Department of Transportation
