Depending on the time, you were probably in the morning rush signal plan -- which is typically timed, rather than based on sensors. Typically, the roadway (and turns) with the most traffic (in this case Page Avenue) gets the most amount of signal time. You don't say whether there was any traffic on Page at this time. If you have other specific information, I can certainly pass it along to our traffic team to see if there are any opportunities to tweak signal timing here. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Although we do have a project set for the portion of Mackenzie that falls under MoDOT's maintenance (Route P between Watson and Gravois) soon that includes additional sidewalks, we have no plans for further work along Gravois in that area at this time. When we do, we will look at the pedestrian travel patterns and consider adding in more sidewalks. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Missouri Logos maintains all the signs like this. We'll see if we can pass it along to them. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
At this time, we are still projecting that the project will be completed in early 2022. We have not changed the official schedule. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communoications
What time are you seeing this? This is a pretty busy interchange (between I-64, Hampton and Oakland) -- and there would be some concerns about avoiding backups on any of these roadways. However, with a more specific time, I can ask our traffic engineers to work with the city to see if they can make any tweaks. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
At the Meramec River Bridge project? Because there are still changes, including lane closures, that will impact eastbound I-44 through the duration of the project. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Please email me at dwrone@stlouisco.com, and include the name of the street and trucking company in question. I'll have our traffic studies group investigate. Thanks. David Wrone, St. Louis County's Department of Transportation
I can share that with our traffic team to take a look at it and make sure that all the appropriate signs are in place. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
Our staff will check this & verify the configuration this week - thanks
I've asked our traffic team to take a look at it. Andrew Gates, MoDOT Communications
We are considering flashing the signals once traffic activity downtown drops to a particular level for the sake of snappier, more efficient service.
